It is an ideal place for a healthy morning walk and jogging. This park has more than 300 trees out of which 186 trees are large in size. Entry to this park is free of cost. This park is open seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and again from 04:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Kamla Nehru Park located in the city was established in 1956. It has for a decade attracted elderly as well as children to the park.
Ashok Ghorpade, garden superintendent, said that this park was started by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and has since become a favorite for many. The Kamla Nehru Park is a zoological park in the city, famously known as Chidiya Ghar. Come here to get a glimpse of exotic birds, animals, and different kinds of plants and trees. The environment will make you fall for nature all over again. A truly divine experience. Also, the park has some space for children to play around with other kids. Be it a buggy ride, an elephant ride, or a pony ride, all rides can be enjoyed here.
